Renewable energy is already making a difference in our world and Sunergy, Energias Renováveis, SA is an active developer of Business Opportunities in this sector. In July 2006 we started the production of Bio Diesel, in Portugal, with an initial capacity of 5000 tons per year. Production are sold to professional users, mostly in the transportation sector. Mission: Sunergy's mission is to discover and develop technological and business opportunities in the Renewable Energy sector and produce high-quality fuel and power alternatives from renewable resources, compatible with existing infrastructures and equipment. Bio fuels Technology and products: There are many viable alternatives to our rapidly-dwindling and heavily polluting fossil resources. Sunergy is active in the development, production and commercialization of Bio diesel, Bio ethanol, Biogas and Thermo chemically processed fuels from renewable biomass. Bio diesel is an alternative fuel produced from vegetable oils. Bio diesel is highly compatible with existing engine technology and fuel distribution Infrastructure. While Bio diesel technology is fairly mature, the global Bio diesel market is still in its infancy. We believe our core competitive differentiator is being acutely aware of international markets and technologies, and knowing what the necessary steps are to convert know-how into value, always striving to advance the state of the art in all areas of our work. Values: We believe that honesty, hard work, focus on quality and total attention to the customers' requirements are prerequisites to our success. Short history: Started with 2 promoters, both interested in the commercial development of alternative and environmental friendly energy resources. After a year period of studies, it was decided that technically and commercially, Bio Fuel was the best first activity to start with in Portugal. In June 2004, the Business Plan was ready, and the Sunergy, Energias Renováveis, S.A. created and based in Lisbon. In September 2005, a Capital raise was realized to permit the construction of a 5000 ton Bio diesel production plant in Portugal. Since then Sunergy is developing new Businesses that will be announced, as soon as they become reallity..

02-08-06: Sunergy tests production line in Odrinhas: Having finished installing the new production line in Odrinhas, Portugal, time has come for extensive testing. First results are promising since quality analisys of the Biodiesel produced indicate it meets the EN14214 standard.
03-08-06: Sunergy will investigate Biomass market for Dutch EVD: The Dutch "Economsche Voorlichting Dienst" gave Sunergy the order to research the Portuguese Biomass Market. Results will be presented in November.
22-09-06: Sunergy present on "Day without Cars" in Tavira.
Invited by the Municipality of Tavira, Sunergy was present on the event in front of the Town Hall, which promotes a cleaner environment. Our engineer, Paulo Rocha, performed several demonstrations of how to make Biodiesel at an enthousiastic crowd, mostly children from participating schools. During the event, the Municipallity Tourist Train worked on a 70% Biodiesel / 30% Diesel mix.
12-12-06: Sunergy Initiates Field Testing in Bahia, Brazil.
Sunergy already started field testing in Bahia, Brazil, cultivating vegetable oil producing plants and trees. Through the experiences of cultivation and production techniques, Sunergy hopes to get access to sustainable oils for Biofuel production.
15-01-07: Sunergy optimizes production line technology in Odrinhas, aumenting the maximum production capacity by 20%, and improving reactor performance and safety.
28-05-2007: Sunergy sells turn-key Biodiesel plant of 6000 ton per year to Portuguese Transportation company.
The factory will be build between August and November 2007 and from then on produce and deliver fuel to its owner. The fuel will be used in trucks and normal passenger cars and reduce operational costs conciderably.
10-12-2007: 6000 Ton Biodiesel Production Unit delivered and operational.
The 6000 Ton Biodiodiesel plant project that Sunergy sold in May 2007, was installed between the 15th of August and 30st of November. The cliente now produces it's own fuel for it's 150 transportation trucks, using used oils and vergin oils as raw material. The turn-key project included a central control system, which reduces operational tasks and improves production secutiry.
24-01-08: New product lines to be introduced in January 2008.
Sunergy started to diversify its business in 2007 and tested several product-market combinations. As from January 2008, Sunergy will deliver a range of new products like solar thermal for hot water (residential , industrial and services market), Solar Photovoltaic electricity generation for all three markets, Biomass boiler based central heating sytems for all markets, and electricity saving equiment for services and industry markets. Very soon you will find these products on this site.
